First Night 2012

Admission
First Night Winchester buttons entitle the bearer to an entire evening of entertainment, featuring the best in music, dance, the arts and so much more. Buttons are required to enter all indoor venues. All proceeds from button sales support First Night’s mission to celebrate our community through the arts. First Night Winchester buttons are highly collectible works of art. There are no refunds or exchanges on button sales and programs are subject to change.

Purchase Buttons

Starting about the second week of December, buttons are available for purchase. Buttons are only $10 each for the first two and $8 for any additional buttons purchased at the same time. Children under 8 are free. Your button allows you into all our First Night Winchester events throughout the entire evening.

Comments/Ideas/Suggestions
First Night Winchester board members work hard to produce a quality, family-friendly event each year. Board members meet monthly to put this event together. If you have any comments/ideas or suggestions, we are open to them. In addition, First Night Winchester is always looking for new members or volunteers—either on the board or on a specific committee. Please use the Contact Us for more information or to make your comments.

First Aid/Emergencies
In case of emergency, immediately contact any police officer or other emergency person. Local rescue workers travel up and down the Old Town Mall area the entire evening.

Food
A number of local restaurants are open for everything from fine dining to grabbing a sandwich on the go. In addition, First Night Winchester has a number of food vendors throughout the downtown area. Please remember though, no food or drink is allowed in any of our indoor venues.

How Can I Help

Lost and Found
First Night Winchester headquarters is the location for the lost and found. Please check your map for headquarters location. In event of a lost child, please report it immediately to any police officer or person in charge at any of the venues.

Parking
Parking is available at all four of the downtown area garages for a minimal fee for the entire evening. In addition, there are a great number of on- and off-street parking spaces. Covered, handicap parking is also available at each of the parking garages with access to elevators. See the Parking Authority website for more information.

Restrooms
Restrooms are available at all of our venues. Porta Johns are also located on the Mall. Please check map for location.

Tips
Volunteers check all attendees at venue entrances to make sure you are wearing your First Night admission button. Seating is first-come, first-served and all venues are emptied before second or third seating begins. Late admission is at the sole discretion of site management. We make every effort to start all performances on time. Please respect our houses of worship and all other venues. First Night Winchester thanks all our venues for generously opening their doors to us for this event. We do ask that you help to keep all venues (and downtown) clean, and deposit trash in appropriate receptacles. Remember too, food, beverages and smoking are not permitted in any of our venues.

Weather
First Night Winchester goes on rain, shine, ice or snow—so please dress appropriately for walking to the venues. There are no refunds for admission buttons.
